A man was fatally struck by a train at the Beverly Road station in Flatbush on Monday, according to authorities.

The victim, who was in his 40s, was hit by the oncoming northbound 2 train shortly after 2:30 p.m. on April 1 at the station located at Nostrand Avenue and Beverly Road.

The incident caused significant delays to 2 and 5 trains, with service suspended between President Street and Flatbush Avenue stations for several hours, according to the Metropolitan Transit Authority.

Police declined to release the victim’s name, as the investigation is ongoing.

The incident was the second train-related fatality of the day, following a female’s death at the 59th Street station in Sunset Park earlier that morning.
