Phone almost home

A man assaulted a woman and stole her phone as she was walking home on McKibben Street on July 7.

The 22-year-old woman told police that she was near White Street at 7:30 pm when the man ran up to her, punched her in the face, and then ran off with her iPhone.

A guy who was standing nearby and witnessed the incident tried to run after the robber, but lost him.

Stabbing

A crazed man stabbed a teenager in the chest on Bushwick Avenue on July 7.

The 19-year-old victim told police he was standing near Grand Street at 1 am when the unknown male stabbed him in the chest with an unknown sharp object.

The victim ran away and then walked to Woodhull Hospital for treatment. The stabber has not been arrested.

Jimmied the door

Someone broke into a woman’s car that was parked on Metropolitan Avenue sometime overnight on July 6 and stole her purse — which included her debit card, driver’s license and $200 in cash.

The victim told police she parked her Toyota RAV4 in front of her house between Bedford and Driggs avenues at 7:40 pm. By the time she came back out at 11 am on July 7, someone had pried open the door and ran off with her stuff.

Ex problems

A jealous ex-boyfriend who was angry that his ex-girlfriend wouldn’t talk to him punched her in the face and stole her phone on Humboldt Street on July 6, cops reported.

The 29-year-old victim told police that she was between Boerum and Seigel streets on her way home at 5:15 pm when her ex-boyfriend approached her.

“So, you’re not going to talk to me?” he asked her.

Then he punched her in the right side of the face, grabbed her phone, and ran off, according to police.

Police are searching for a 25-year-old man.

Guy bash

A pair of teenagers were arrested for allegedly throwing a bottle at a man’s head and then beating him with a wooden object on Havemeyer Street on July 6.

The victim told police he was near the corner of S. Fourth Street at 2:15 am when three teens suddenly threw a bottle at his head. They then started beating him with an unknown wooden object, cutting his head and making him dizzy, cops reported.

The 23-year-old victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital and police arrested two of the suspects — a 19-year-old male and 16-year-old male. Both of them were charged with felony assault.

Hostile takeover

Someone went into a woman’s room at a Broadway hostel on July 5 while she was in the bathroom — and stole her stuff.

The 38-year-old victim told police that she was staying at the hostel between Rodney and Keap streets. At 10:40 pm, she left her room — with cubicle-like, three-quarter walls — to use the bathroom.

When she came back, she found $100 in cash and $500 in foreign currency missing.
