Wedded dis
Someone broke into West 12th Street home on Sept. 13 while the resident was at a neighborhood church attending his own wedding.
The 39-year-old victim left his house, which is between avenues Q and R, at around 2 pm, and, when he returned home with his new bride, noticed someone had broken one of the home’s basement windows, climbed inside and stolen more than $18,500 of jewelry and electronics from inside.
Gun garbage
Two thugs held up a man at gunpoint outside of his Bay 29th Street home on Sept. 13.
The victim, 24, said he was taking out the garbage at around 10 pm when the two suspects cornered him in the hallway of his building, which is between avenues T and U. The men tried to tape the victim’s hands together, and one shouted, “Do you want to get shot?” and hit him once in the head with the gun.
The victim managed to escape the thugs and run back into his apartment, and the suspects eventually gave up and fled.
Tri-corner hate
Three men cornered and robbed a man as he walked down 77th Street on Sept. 8.
The victim, 49, was walking toward 15th avenue at around 10:30 pm when the suspects approached him. They knocked him to the ground, punching him several times before grabbing his wallet and speeding off in a white van.
Drill bit
Someone stole power tools from a Stillwell Avenue construction site on Sept. 11.
A construction worker told cops he locked the tools in a container when he left the worksite, which is between avenues Q and R, just after 5 pm.
When he returned to work the next morning, someone had cut the lock off of the box and grabbed the tools form inside.
Bench depress
Someone nabbed a pocketbook from an 86th Street gym on Sept. 10.
The 28-year-old victim told cops she left her purse on a bench in the locker room of the gym, which is between 19th Avenue and Bay 22nd Street, at around 7 pm.
When she returned to collect her things, someone had snatched the purse, making off with $80 and various debit and credit cards.
Robbing a la carte
A thief ransacked a West Fourth Street home while the family was out to dinner on Sept. 13.
One of the victims, 47, told police the family left the house, which is between Avenue S and Highlawn Avenue, at around 7 pm. When they returned a few hours later, all the doors were locked — but all the bedrooms upstairs had been trashed, and more than $25,000 in jewelry and clothes had been stolen.
More burgs
At least five other neighborhood homes were burgled last week. Here’s the round-up:
• Someone broke into a 72nd Street home during the day on Sept. 11, stealing a Rolex watch from inside.
• In the morning on Sept. 10, someone broke into an 83rd Street home, knocking down the front door and grabbing jewelry from an upstairs bedroom.
• That same morning, someone entered an 84th Street home through the unlocked front door and walked off with jewelry and clothes from inside.
• On Sept. 11, someone climbed through an open bedroom window of a Bay 41st Street home and stole $500 and a laptop.
• Later that same day, someone broke the lock off of the front door of a Benson Avenue home and made off with $140 and several pieces of jewelry.
