Shot on Foster
A gunman shot a man in the back on Foster Avenue during an Oct. 5 skirmish.
Police said the victim was found unconscious and unresponsive between New York and Brooklyn avenues at 1:34 am.
The victim, who was hit multiple times, died at the scene.
Cops are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.

Blades and bruised windpipes
A 23-year-old thug was arrested on attempted murder charges on Oct. 3 for stabbing a 45-year-old during a bloody free-for-all on E. 21st Street.
Police said the two men were arguing in a home, which is between Albemarle Road and Regent Place, at 1 am when the suspect grabbed a knife and attacked, stabbing his victim in the leg and shoulder.
His victim was rushed to Coney Island Hospital suffering from a collapsed lung as responding officers took the 23-year-old into custody.
But cops later learned that the 45-year-old victim had choked a woman, who was also inside the home, just before he was stabbed. The man was later charged with assault in his hospital room, police said.
Burglary bust
A 47-year-old burglar was arrested on Sept. 26 for breaking into a Clarkson Avenue home.
Police said the thief was spotted inside the home, which is between E. 48th and E. 49th streets, at about 11:35 am, trying to swipe a laptop computer.
But the thief didn’t far, police said. Responding officers took the man into custody a short time later.
Followed and robbed
Two thieves held up a man on Oct. 3 after following him into his Ocean Avenue apartment building.
The victim had just entered the apartment building, which is between Glenwood Road and Avenue H and about a block away from Brooklyn College, at 10:30 pm when the thieves trailed him into the building’s elevator.
Once the elevator doors closed, the thugs attacked, hitting him in the face, head and abdomen.
The thieves got off on the next floor with the victim’s cash, cell phone and car keys. Once outside, they used the keys to steal the man’s 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis, but they didn’t get far.
Cops caught up with the duo a short time later, charging them with robbery, grand larceny and assault.
Flatbush Ave. follies
A thief attacked a worker at a Flatbush Avenue store on Sept. 28 during a botched raid, cops were told.
Police said the hooligan entered the store, which is located between Avenues J and K, at about 5:45 pm and attacked a worker, leaving him with injuries to his face and head.
The thief ran off empty handed after a brief struggle, police said.
Station break
Thieves snuck into a Flatbush Avenue gas station on Sept. 30, taking $250 from the office.
Workers said the thief entered the station, which is between Avenue I and E. 34th Street, sometime after 6 pm, breaking the cylinder to the front door as he did so.
Gunned down
A trigger-happy thug opened fire on an 18-year-old on Sept. 25, killing him.
Witnesses said the victim, Akeen Stephenson, was nearing the corner of New York and Foster avenues at 10 pm when the unidentified suspect let loose a barrage of bullets, hitting the 18-year-old in the back.
Stephenson was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Cops were asking anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.

Home swindle
He should have known — this was too good to be true.
A man told police that he was conned into paying $8,000 for an Avenue I home.
The 57-year-old victim said the con man approached him back in November, 2009, about the home, which is between Nostrand Avenue and E. 31st Street.
The victim probably thought that he was getting the house for a steal, but soon realized that this would-be realtor was the true thief, since it turned out he never had a deed to the house.
Pharmacy raid
Thieves broke into the Expedite Care pharmacy on Nostrand Avenue on Sept. 14, taking $4,000.
Workers at the pharmacy, which is between Avenues H and I, said that someone ripped out an iron gate protecting a back window to get inside.
Wipe out graffiti
As the ongoing war against graffiti continues, cops are now offering a $500 reward to anyone with information that can lead them to the vandals that mark up the community.
The hefty reward is part of the city’s new push to rid New York of graffiti, one of the leading quality of life complaints brought to police.
Anyone with information about graffiti vandalism in their neighborhood is urged to contact either 311 or 911.
