They say nobody likes you when you’re 23, but everyone loves a good memoir.

Mark Hoppus, founding member of pop-punk band Blink-182, will celebrate the release of his highly anticipated memoir “Fahrenheit-182” with a special event at the Brooklyn Paramount on Wednesday, April 9.

A deeply personal and candid account of Hoppus’ life, “Fahrenheit-182” offers a glimpse into his transformation from an angst-ridden teenager into one of the most influential voices in the punk and alternative music scenes. Co-authored with music journalist Dan Ozzi, the memoir details Hoppus’ struggles with family, identity, mental health and his battle with cancer — all while “Growing Up” with Blink-182.

He dives deep into his relationship with bandmates (and once ex-bandmates) Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, telling the Los Angeles Times that recounting those formative years helped him heal.

“It was really cathartic to write it all out and try to be fair to everybody in the book,” he told the outlet. “My whole goal with the book was to not demonize anybody. I wanted there to be no villains in the book because, now that we’ve been through everything, I don’t feel that there were villains. I feel like Blink-182 is a blessing.”

Hoppus emphasized that, while the memoir was sparked by what felt like a second chance at life after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in June 2021, it’s far more than just his personal journey.

“When my cancer went into remission, and I felt like I had dodged a bullet, I wanted to tell the story of Blink-182 and not necessarily just my story, but the story of the band from somebody in the band. I love Tom and Travis so much, and everyone just wanted to tell our story as it is, up to now: all the highs, all the lows, the brotherhood, the friendships, everything.”
