The other day, Borough President Markowitz dropped by the always-excellent Mill Basin Deli to mark the eatery’s 36th anniversary — and, judging by the photo that his office sent over, enjoy a bit of the wares.
That’s deli owner Mark Schachner posing with Markowitz, who gave his comrade in corned beef an official proclamation that celebrated Schachner’s commitment to quality in both his food (the place is considered one of the best Kosher delis in the city) and art (believe it or not, the walls of the Avenue T restaurant are lined top to bottom with rare Erte and Lichtenstein prints).
