Rob and re-sell

A thief grabbed a 14-year-old girl’s cellphone out of her purse on W. Seventh Street on July 26, then tried to sell it at a phone store.

The girl told cops she was near Avenue P at 5:10 pm when the creep came up behind her and said “Give me your phone.” The perp then grabbed her by the arm and snatched the phone out of her purse before running down Avenue O towards Bay Parkway, police said.

Cops later recovered the phone at an 86th Street phone store, where employees say a man tried to sell them the stolen property.

Schoolyard smoke-out

A couple of goons robbed some teens at gunpoint outside a school on 24th Avenue on the night of July 21.

The teens told cops they were smoking by the handball courts between Cropsey Avenue and Bath Avenue at around 11:15 pm when the nefarious duo approached and pulled firearms from their waistbands.

The perps pointed the guns at the teens and said “Give me everything you got” before nabbing a wad of cash, jewelry, and electronics, according to a police report. The gunslingers fled in a dark sedan down Bath Avenue towards Bay 35th Street, cops said.

Four against one

A gang of four knocked a guy to the pavement and dug through his pockets for cash on Bay 25th Street on July 25.

The victim told cops he was near Benson Avenue at 5 pm when the dastardly group hit him over the head, then knocked him to the ground and went through his pockets, pulling out all his cash, police said.

The victim told cops he saw the perps flee down Bay 25th Street towards Bath Avenue.

Phone heist

A filthy liar posing as an elderly man’s nephew calling from Mexico stole thousands of dollars from the old timer by pretending to be in trouble on July 21.

The 90-year-old victim told cops a man he thought was his nephew called his apartment on 70th Street near 17th Avenue at around 3 pm and said he was in trouble and he needed nearly six grand wired to Mexico, according to a police report.

The wizened uncle wired the money, then called his brother only to discover his nephew was not in Mexico, cops said.
