A 24-year-old mother was shot and killed near Pratt Institute in Clinton Hill on Tuesday morning — and cops say they know who did it.

Nicoleia Taylor was shot in the chest in a courtyard of the Lafayette Gardens public housing development, on DeKalb Avenue near Kent Avenue at 11:30 am, police said. Emergency medical responders took her to Brooklyn Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival, cops said.

Police have not made an arrest in the killing, but they fingered a 21-year-old man named Corey Brown as the suspect. Brown is 5-feet, 10-inches tall, and 180 pounds, cops said.

Taylor was on her way to the gym after visiting her sister in Lafayette Gardens when she was shot, a relative of the victim told The Brooklyn Paper.

It has been a tragic year for the family. Taylor’s mother died in a housing fire last year, according to the relative.

Cops are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call their anonymous tip line, (800) 577–TIPS.
