This August, Williamsburg’s hottest and soon-to-be largest residential condominium development, The Edge, and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will host “Mondays Under the Moon.”
Everyone, from Edge buyers to neighborhood residents to film buffs throughout the city, are invited to watch a free flick along the waterfront at East River State Park (park entrance at Kent Avenue and North Eighth Street).
Showcasing family-friendly films ranging from classic to contemporary, “Mondays Under the Moon” will be held every Monday in August starting at 8:30 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring a blanket or chair and lounge in the park, as they snack on complimentary popcorn.
The film lineup is as follows: Moonstruck, August 4 (1987, Rated PG); The Astronaut Farmer, August 11 (2007, Rated PG); The Wind and the Lion, August 18 (1975, Rated PG); and 2001: A Space Odyssey, August 25 (1968, Rated G).
Guests are encouraged to arrive early for prime seating.
