Hot on the heels of a two-to-one primary victory, state Sen. Velmanette Montgomery (D–Fort Greene) was happy to drill into the mysterious “campaign” of her Atlantic Yards–loving challenger Tracy Boyland,
A former City Councilwoman, Boyland ran a stealth campaign — she had no office, didn’t file campaign finance reports, had volunteers who disseminated inaccurate information, and didn’t return calls from reporters.
“[Boyland] had no accountability at all,” Montgomery told The Brooklyn Papers.
Montgomery suggested that Boyland was getting campaign support from her friends at Forest City Ratner.
Last week, Boyland told The Brooklyn Papers that she had received “help” from the developer, but would not say if the help was financial.
