Vespa villain
Cops cuffed a 25-year-old tough guy who they say jumped off his moped and attacked a teenager with a pair of metal pipes on Manhattan Avenue on Jan. 20.
The 18-year-old victim told police that he was walking to a store and was at the corner of Huron Street at 4:46 pm when the no-goodnik jumped off of his petite vehicle and ran at him with two tubes.
The biker bashed the victim on the arms and on the right knee, making him bleed and swell up good, according to a report.
Punch code
A clever crook punched out the window of a Berry Street business and stole a laptop on Jan. 22, cops said.
The owner of the store between N. Seventh and N. Eighth streets told police that his laptop was missing. A surveillance video shows a shady figure pacing back and forth in front of the business several times, punching the glass on each pass, at around 7:50 am on Jan. 22, cops said.
When the window finally broke, the man reached in and grabbed the computer from the front counter, police reported.
Wallet takes
A thief snatched a wallet out of a woman’s purse as she was walking on Manhattan Avenue on Jan. 24, cops said.
The 32-year-old victim reported she was walking at the corner of Nassau Avenue at 4:30 pm when a man stopped her to chat. She started arguing with the guy and he then snatched her pocketbook, which contained $30 in cash, according to authorities.
Frenemy
Police arrested a man who they say beat and choked his friend inside of her Noble Street apartment on Jan. 20.
The 27-year-old woman said she was inside of her abode between Franklin and Lorimer streets at 4:45 am when the buddy she was arguing with suddenly threw her to the floor, put his knee on her throat, and started strangling her.
“I can’t breathe. You’re going to kill me,” she supposedly said to him.
The brute then punched her in the face, slapped her, threw her to the floor, and pushed her into the shower, cops said.
“Clean yourself up,” he allegedly said.
The woman had cuts and bruises on her face and upper body, police reported. Cops cuffed a 22-year-old man and charged him with assault.
