iPhone mug
A gun-toting goon snagged an iPhone from a 28-year-old man at the corner of St. James and Clifton places on June 2.
The victim was nearing the corner at 10:20 pm when the thief approached with a gun in his hand.
“Give me what you got,” the thief demanded before making off with the smart phone.
Ratner raids
Several criminals went shopping in the Atlantic Center and the Atlantic Terminal last week. Here’s what happened:
• A crook snaked his hand into a 26-year-old woman’s purse as she shopped inside the Atlantic Center Mall on May 29, taking her wallet. The victim didn’t notice that her wallet, and the $110 inside, was missing until 4:30 pm.
• A sticky-fingered thief palmed a wallet from a 29-year-old woman’s handbag on May 30 as she perused the aisles inside Daffy’s inside the Atlantic Terminal. The woman discovered that her wallet was missing at 5:15 pm, but by then the thief had already run to Target — which is also inside the mall — and spent $224 purchase with her credit card.
• An employee at Old Navy was arrested on May 31 after he swiped 70 polo shirts. Security personnel told police that the 39-year-old employee had taken the shirts on May 16.
Run from trouble
A crew of teens tried to rob a 38-year-old at the corner of Washington Park and DeKalb Avenue on May 31 — but their prey was too fast for them.
The crooks approached their victim at 12:05 am and demanded his property, but when the 38-year-old pretended to reach into his pocket for his wallet, he turned and sprinted off.
The thieves chased, but gave up after two blocks.
Cell hell
A thug took a cellphone off a 30-year-old man during a mugging at the corner of S. Portland and DeKalb avenues on June 3.
The victim was hailing a cab at 9 pm when the thief approached with his hand in his pocket — as if he had a gun.
Surf’s up!
A thief swiped a Plymouth Voyager filled with surfer gear on June 2 on Adelphi Street.
The 69-year-old parked his car between Myrtle and Willoughby avenues at 11 pm. When he left his house to go catch some waves at 5 am the next morning, his SUV, surfboard and wet suit were missing.
Purse swipe
A thief sneaked off with a woman’s purse during a May 27 birthday party at a Clinton Avenue nightspot.
The victim was partying in the club, between Fulton and Atlantic avenues, at 10 pm when she put her bag down on a chair before making a bathroom run. When the woman returned 10 minutes later, her bag was gone.
Nowhere fast
Thieves broke into a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe near the corner of Prince Street and Myrtle Avenue on June 3, taking two navigation systems.
The owner of the SUV had parked at 1 pm, but by the time he returned an hour and a half later, his passenger-side window had been shattered and the dual navigation devices were missing.
Money grubber
A crook broke into a money courier’s car on Lafayette Avenue on June 3, taking $1,000 meant for a neighborhood ATM.
The courier told police that he left his car between Grand and Classon avenues at 1:25 pm to go fill up an ATM at a nearby bodega. When he returned, his rear window was busted and a pack of money meant for another ATM was missing.
$6 rob
Three thieves pulled a gun on a 15-year-old boy on DeKalb Avenue on June 2 — but only made off with $2 apiece.
The suspects jumped their victim near St. Felix Street at 8:52 am, robbing him of $6.
