Hell on wheels
Two fiends mugged a man on Bond Street and used a bicycle to beat him up on July 19.
The attack occurred near the corner of Union Street at 2:50 am, according to the victim, 47, who told cops that the duo approached him and demanded his money.
One struck him in the face with a bicycle and his partner in crime punched him in the mouth before stealing his wallet, which contained $40.
Bad with kids
A scoundrel stole a woman’s purse in Red Hook Park on July 11 after vying for the affection of her infant.
The mother, 42, said the purse-snatcher was initially friendly to her baby, but grabbed her purse near the Court and Bay streets entrance to the park at 3:40 pm.
The victim tried to impede the thief by grabbing his shirt, but he freed himself by knocking her to the ground. The pocketbook contained $200 and various banking cards, as well as her driver’s license.
Can’t take heat
A kitchen window burglar cooked up quite the heist on Van Brunt Street on July 16.
While the resident, 29, was not home from 4 to 6 pm, the intruder clambered through the kitchen portal and stole an iPhone, iPod, laptop, a Nokia cellphone, digital camera, a silver ring and $66 from the homestead between Pioneer and King streets.
