Crush deliveries
Two delivery guys were held up at gunpoint in the neighborhood this week, according to the authorities.
• A robber mugged a food courier on May 26 on McGuinness Boulevard, cops said.
The victim said he was between Huron and India streets at 10:25 pm when a guy shoved a gun in his face.
“Don’t move. Don’t make this a robbery,” the goon supposedly said, confusingly.
The punk went through the victim’s pockets and took out $50 in cash, then ran westbound on Huron Street on foot, a report states.
• The next day a cretin robbed another delivery guy on Manhattan Avenue, police reported.
The victim said through a translator that he was at the corner Withers Street at midnight when the menace blocked his path and shoved the piece into his chest.
“Don’t move or I’ll shoot,” the mugger supposedly said.
The victim turned over $70 in cash and the robber ran off, cops said.
Can’t dance
A hater of fun threw a bottle at a dancing man on N. 11th Street on May 25, injuring him, police said.
The victim said he was dancing a jig on the corner of Kent Avenue at 10 pm when the party pooper drove by and hurled the bottle at the back of his head.
The dancer walked to Woodhull Medical Center for treatment, according to cops.
Everything but the dog
A burglar let himself in to a Huron Street house through an open window on May 27, law enforcement officials said.
The woman reported she left her home between Manhattan Avenue and Franklin Street at 6:15 am and left her back portal open four inches with a small fan and screen blocking the way in.
When she got back at 8:45 pm, she found the screen cut, the window wide open, and the curtains ripped, police stated. No one was home all day except for her dog, and the dog refused to say if anyone had come in, cops said.
Too obvious
An oblivious thief tried to break into a Bedford Avenue sidewalk cash machine on May 26 while the owner of the store was inside the building, according to a report.
The owner of the business on between N. Ninth and N. 10th streets said he was opening up the store at 5:40 am when he saw a prowler trying to pry into the money dispenser while covered with a big blue tarp.
The proprietor ran outside and chased the lowlife up the street but couldn’t catch him, officers stated. The would-be thief didn’t get any money out of the machine, law enforcement officials said.
