The pig or the crook?
On Tuesday, America will hold its nose, hang its head, and likely fortify its spirits with a double bourbon before electing the nation’s 45th president, culminating a highly contentious campaign, and beginning a new chapter for the planet’s most consequential nation in an increasingly hostile and dangerous world.
The next president will determine the future of Western civilization by how he or she handles adversaries seeking to alter our values, and how she or he deals with domestic agitators undermining our way of life worse than demented tyrants, wobbly democracies, diminishing global freedoms, and fading rules of law.
Already the future occupant of the Oval Office is off to a crappy start without logging a single day on the job because his and her approval rating is in the toilet — Donald’s for being a dog, and Hillary’s for her ugly political rap sheet stained with sinister new scandals, including the latest Weinergate.
But more important is WikiLeaks’ disturbing 11th-hour revelations about the Clinton Foundation’s pay-for-play policies, exposing how the former secretary of state gave shady Russians who donated gobs of cash to her charity control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in America, increasing the bomb-making abilities of our foes. The jaw-dropping, money-laundering scheme alone should disqualify her from ever stepping foot into the White House.
No doubt Trump’s Oval Office would be petty and spiteful, constantly trying to rise above its prurient reputation, but Hillary’s White House would be her personal cash cow, and a quid-pro-quo safe-hold for lobbyists and undesirables seeking lucrative trade-offs on the taxpayer’s dime, while she burnished her powerful interests on Wall Street, and stoked her ties to wealthy donors.
The pig or the crook?
Nov. 8 is D-Day, presenting a gloomy opportunity to elect the swine who wants to “make America great again” or the swindler immersed in rivers of dark cash flowing into her own coffers.
It’s a no-brainer!
