Fun and festivity took center stage last week in what has become a beloved Brooklyn tradition: the Santa Rosalia Festival.
The annual spectacle transformed 18th Avenue from 67th Street to Bay Ridge Parkway to into a festival that has seen no peer.
With each step along the stretch, one found rides, games and vendors selling a cornucopia of summer delights and, of course, broad smiles of patrons who were once again thrilled to be what those in the neighborhood simply call “The Feast.”
The yearly festival honors St. Rosalia, the patron saint of Palermo.
