Captain Timothy Lee Jenkins Jr., is the New York City Recruiting Battalion’s Adjutant, arriving from Ft. Lee, Virginia, last January.
He is a native of Maryland and attended Easton High School, graduating in 1998. He further attended the University of Delaware and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and attended Army ROTC while there.
Jenkins was commissioned in the summer of 2003 as a Transportation Corps Officer with a branch detail to Field Artillery, his current branch is Logistics.
Cpt. Jenkins’ military schools and assignments include: Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, Fort Sill, Okla,; 2-3 Field Artillery, Giessen Germany; 15 Mo. Platoon Fire Direction Officer; 2 Mo. Battery Executive Officer; 501st Forward Support Battalion, Friedberg, Germany; Support Operations Officer; Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Fort Lee Va; and Recruiting Battalion, Ft. Hamilton NY at the present time.
He deployed with the 501st Forward Support Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division, with five months in Tal Afar Iraq and 9 months in Ramadi, Iraq.
Jenkins has also been the recipient of one Bronze Star Medal, one Army Commendation Medal; one Army Achievement Medal; one Iraq Campaign Medal and two Overseas Service Ribbons.
