Police investigators are asking the public for help in their search for five bogus cops wanted for raiding a Williamsburg home back in October.
Police said that the thieves went to the home — the location was not disclosed — back on October 14, knocked on the door and identified themselves as police officers.
They then forced their way into the home, restrained everyone inside and robbed the place of cash.
No injuries were reported.
Cops identified the suspect as a 5’5”, 140-pound Hispanic woman between 20 and 30 years old with short black hair and glasses, a 5’10”, 180-pound Hispanic male in his thirties also with black hair and glasses, a six-foot tall, 190-pound black or Hispanic male between 20 and 30, a Hispanic male with short cropped hair and a 30-year-old Hispanic male.
Cops are asking anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of any of these suspects to contact the NYPD CrimeStoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
