‘Mac’ and ‘Bam’ caused quite a stir when they showed up for a homecoming at Kingsborough Community College.
Bearing an uncanny resemblance to presidential hopefuls John McCain and Barack Obama, faculty members-turned-impersonators Andre Montero and Julio Martinez, respectively, courted the crowd at the learning institute, 2001 Oriental Boulevard, with a coffee-cup poll.
The dutiful duo served the java to attendees standing alongside life-sized cutout figures of the contenders seeking the nation’s top office in November.
The final vote, won by the Obama look-alike, was decided by the amount of cups left at each candidate’s station by the end of the morning.
The poll was part of a day of homecoming festivities for alums and their children, in addition to seniors and others from the community, and marked by entertainment, strolling performers and a fireboat display off the Kingsborough sea wall, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
