Bookworms at Public School 135 can take a word voyage into a labyrinth of new books, plus surf the Web on brand new computers in their restored, state−of−the−art library.
The bright new archive was unveiled with a grand opening ceremony at the East Flatbush school, 684 Linden Boulevard, capped by a ribbon−cutting and a student performance by the Elite Dance Group.
Funded by the Robin Hood Foundation, the refurbished room boasts a high−tech electronic catalogue system, a Smart Board learning tool for teachers and a media center.
The Robin Hood Foundation was established in 1988 by hedge fund manager Paul Tudor Jones to help fight poverty in New York City.
