A tug-o-war battle, relay races and sprint dashes were among the fun games that had youngsters from Public School 254 challenging mettle while engaging in some down time during a sports day at the Malone Center in Bergen Beach.
The sun-kissed day provided a fitting backdrop for budding athletes to put their best foot forward for a cornucopia of special events and activities at the community facility, Bergen Avenue and Avenue X.
The special event for the school, 1801 Avenue Y., was sponsored by Doody’s, Staples and Stop n’ Shop.
