Brooklyn’s best and brightest academicians at Public School 255 were selected to receive Student of the Month honors for “serving as exemplars in their schoolwork, their thoughtfulness, and their kindness for others,” according to the school’s Project Arts Liaison, Miriam Rankin.
The pint−sized intellectuals, in grades Kindergarten through five, earned the privilege of donning fancy sashes throughout the day and were also presented with special Student of the Month pencils, with which to create more of the exemplary schoolwork and homework for which they received accolades.
According to Principal Linda L. Singer, “It is a real honor to be chosen. They live up to the goals and objectives of the school — we aim for the stars and our Students of the Month shine upon all of us. These students are proud of themselves and we are even prouder of all of their accomplishments.”
