Young eco-buffs pounded the pavement to promote a healthy, safe and green life during an awareness walk at Public School 255.
The bright-eyed bunch strode alongside their teachers for the inaugural “We’re Walking Here NYC” trek, circling the Midwood school %u2013 1866 East 17th Street %u2013 to cheers from pedestrians and motorists.
Organized by Adaptive Physical Education teacher Denise Palermo, the stroll was part of a city-wide effort to alert the school community to the benefits of putting its best foot forward.
