Two punks swiped bags filled with stuff from a Smith Street store on Nov. 6, police said.
An employee said she arrived at work at the store between Union and President streets at about 6 pm and discovered all of the Dr Scholls shoe inserts were missing from the shelves, so she checked the cameras and saw images of the pair of baddies stuffing store gift bags with the $2,763 worth of the product and then walking out of the store, according to authorities.
Top shelf vodka
A weasel swiped thousands of dollars — and a pricey bottle of vodka — from a Columbia Street restaurant’s safe sometime overnight on Nov. 6, police said.
The crook broke into the restaurant between Sackett and Degraw streets sometime between 1:45 am and 9 am and stole $6,980 from the safe, along with a $100 bottle of Grey Goose, and a digital video recorder, according to authorities.
Coffee break-in
Two nogoodniks stole a wad of cash from a chain coffee store on Court Street and from an employee’s own purse on Nov, 1, police said.
The pair of snakes entered the Dunkin Donuts between Carroll Street and First Place at about 2:30 pm in black jackets, black pants, and red hoodies and went down to the basement and stole $230 in cash from the office desk, according to authorities. The lawbreakers then went into the worker’s own bag and stole another $300 in cash and credit cards, officials said.
Street attack
Two ruffians punched a woman in the stomach and stole her cellphone on Hoyt Street on Oct. 31, police said.
The 37-year-old woman told police she was walking near Degraw Street at about 7:30 pm when the snakes came up to her and punched her in the abdomen, and then grabbed her iPhone worth $800 right out of her hands, according to authorities.
