A 13-year-old girl was mugged as she walked through McCarren Park on Jan. 17.
The girl told police she was at a playground near the northeast corner of Manhattan and Driggs avenues at about 3:30 pm when two thugs sneaked up behind her.
One of the men snatched her Sidekick cellphone before the pair fled toward Nassau Avenue.
Wallet snatch
A robber snatched a Greenpoint Avenue woman’s wallet out of her coat pocket in the vestibule of her building on Jan. 14.
The 66-year-old victim told police she was coming home at about 3:30 pm when a man pushed her through the front door of the building, which is between Franklin Street and Manhattan Avenue. Once the pair was in the vestibule, the thug grabbed her wallet and ran off.
Purse swipe
A woman had her purse stolen at a Driggs Avenue consignment store on Jan. 14.
The victim told police she left her Marc Jacobs bag on the counter of the store, which is between Diamond and Humboldt streets, at about 7:45 pm and went to the cashier to sell some used clothing.
After completing the sale, the woman returned for her purse and found it missing.
The victim lost the $400 purse, a Saks Fifth Avenue credit card and a debit card.
Knife robber
A knife-wielding robber preyed on a 16-year-old who was on his way home from school on Jan. 11.
The student told cops he was on the L train platform at the Bedford Avenue station at about 3 pm when a thug approached him, pulled out a knife and told him to empty his pockets.
When the boy ignored the man, the robber went into his pockets and swiped $7, a Metrocard and his student ID.
System stolen
A crafty burglar broke into a Clay Street building and stole the security system valued at $8,500 on Jan. 15.
The superintendent of the building, which is located between Manhattan Avenue and McGuinness Boulevard, called the cops after he noticed someone had kicked in the basement door at about 10 pm.
The burglar stole a security camera, monitor and intercom.
Diner burglary
Someone sneaked into a Union Avenue diner after it closed for the night on Jan. 14 and stole $490 from a cardboard box behind the counter.
The manager of the diner, which is between Richardson and Frost streets, told cops two workers locked the door when they closed up at 11 pm. But when he arrived to open on Jan. 15, the door was unlocked and the money was missing.
Nightclub purse
A 25-year-old Greenpoint woman was having drinks at the bar of her local nightclub on Bedford Avenue on Jan. 16 when someone walked off with her purse.
The woman told police she hung her bag on a hook under the bar, which is between North Ninth and North 10th streets, when she arrived. After a few drinks, she headed to the bathroom — and when she returned her purse was missing.
The thief got the victim’s passport and several credit cards.
