Phone fiend
Two thieves threatened a man with a knife and stole his phone on Meeker Avenue on Oct. 26.
The victim told police that he was near Hausman Street at 10:35 pm when two perps approached him. One grabbed him and held a knife to his neck, while the other shouted, “Give me your phone — what’s in your bag?”
The perp took the man’s phone and the thieves ran away.
Cool criminals
Two alleged thieves were arrested after trying to steal an air conditioner from a Greenpoint Avenue basement on Oct. 29.
The owner said that he saw the defendants in his building near Leonard Street at 9:26 am trying to remove the unit. They ran away when he called the police, but an officer found the suspects and made an arrest, cops said.
Bike pick
A thief on a bike stole a man’s phone on Metropolitan Avenue on Oct. 25.
The victim told police that the cyclist rode up to him near Lorimer Street at 1:35 pm, swiped the phone, and pedaled away.
Phone pilfered
A thief stole an iPhone from a woman on Bedford Avenue on Oct. 26.
The victim told police the perp approached her near N. Fourth Street at 10:15 pm, grabbed the phone, and ran away.
Purse break
A thief stole a purse from a car on Wythe Avenue on Oct. 24.
The driver parked close to N. 12th Street at 8 pm and returned two hours later to find a broken window and a missing purse.
Sketched out
A thief stole a camera, sketchbook, iPod, and laptop from a car on Berry Street on Oct. 24.
The driver parked near N. Sixth Street at 10:30 pm, but returned just before midnight to find a passenger-side window broken and his stuff missing.
Audi unlocked
A thief stole a car parked from a Driggs Avenue parking lot on Oct. 25.
A attendant told police that the perp swiped the car at 4:56 am and drove out of the lot near N. Eighth Street.
