Pig roast and dance party at 3rd ward

By the time Marlow & Sons butcher Tom Mylan had cut a series of longitudinal slits along the back of a 197-pound pig, it was six o’clock and 3rd Ward’s hungry guests were ready for tacos.

Brooklyn Kitchen’s Harry Rosenblum, who had been heating tortillas over an open flame, took the first bite into Mylan’s roasted hog.

“I’m speechless,” Rosenblum said.

3rd Ward Brooklyn (195 Morgan Avenue) threw their first annual Pig Roast and Dance Party last week to celebrate the end of its solo show, “Suits” by sculptor Jeremy Leichman.

The busy gallery has a constant stream of new shows and events.
