88th Precinct

Fort Greene–Clinton Hill

Teen trouble

Officers arrested two 13-year-old girls who bashed a 51-year-old woman and tried to steal her purse on Flatbush Avenue Extension on June 14 — then ran off when the woman pulled a gun on them.

The woman was near Fulton Street on her way to work at 4:50 am when the teenagers allegedly grabbed her, pulled her hair, and punched her in the face, police said.

The adolescents then allegedly threw her to the ground and tried to take her bag from her arm, but the victim took out her gun to defend herself, and the girls ran off, authorities said.

Punch and steal

Police collared a duo who they say attacked a woman and stole her phone on Myrtle Avenue on June 14.

The victim told police she was near St. Edwards Street at 12:05 am when the two suspects came up, punched her in the face, and stole her phone from her back pocket.

Subway snatch

Some sneak stole a woman’s wallet as she was riding a crowded A train on June 13.

The victim told authorities she had her wallet on her when she entered the Utica Avenue station at 8:35 am, because she had to take her MetroCard out.

But she then put her wallet in her open tote bag and boarded the packed Manhattan-bound locomotive, and after she got off, she tried to make a purchase on Fulton Street and realized she no longer had the pocketbook, according to a report.

Training wheels

Authorities slapped handcuffs on a teen who they say stole a woman’s bicycle on DeKalb Avenue on June 17.

Police said the victim was pushing her two-wheeler at 5:40 pm when she noticed the 15-year-old suspect following her. She then parked her bike near Carlton Avenue and the suspect allegedly swiped it, a police report stated.

Officers stopped the suspect at Vanderbilt and Lafayette avenues and arrested him, according to a report.
