POLICE BLOTTER

Stabbed to death

Cops are looking for the person responsible for stabbing a 50-year-old Bath Beach man to death inside his own home.

Investigators were called to the third-floor apartment of Anthony Giunta just after 6 p.m. on January 27 on a report of an unconscious male.

When they arrived, they found Giunta on the floor, bleeding from several stab wounds.

Giunta died at the scene.

Cops have said little of the investigation, except to say that it is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to come forward.

Calls can be made to the NYPD CrimeStoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

Begging bruiser

A Bensonhurst straphanger was held up at knifepoint last week after he couldn’t help another train rider out with the $2 fare, officials said.

Police said that the victim was passing the corner of Benson Avenue and Bay 23rd Street as he made his way home at 1:15 a.m. on January 29 when an unidentified white male in a ski mask ran up to him and asked for $2 for the train.

The victim said that he didn’t have any change and he couldn’t let the stranger swipe his MetroCard, because it was an unlimited use card.

Facing a no at every turn, the beggar quickly turned into a blade-carrying bruiser.

“Don’t f–k with me,” he said as he whipped out a knife. “It’s not like I haven’t killed anyone before.”

The thief robbed the straphanger of his cash and cell phone and ran off, officials said. Cops were still looking for the man as this paper went to press.

Banking for trouble

Cops are looking for a gun-toting thief who robbed a Sheepshead Bay Washington Mutual Savings Bank last week.

Police said that the unidentified thief entered the Nostrand Avenue bank between Avenues Y and Z just after 9:15 a.m. on January 26.

The thief showed a teller a handgun and demanded that she give him $40,000.

The teller tried to comply, but could only scrape up $1,000 from her cash drawer, officials said.

The thief took the cash and fled. No injuries were reported.

Cops are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.

Calls can be made to the 61st Precinct at (718) 627-6611. All calls will be kept confidential.

Dirty cleaning tricks

A 19-year-old woman was arrested last after she allegedly doused another woman with bleach and Ajax, cops in Coney Island said this week.

Officials said that Terice Smith was taken into custody this week for the attack, which took place back on October 24.

The victim alleged that she and Smith were arguing inside a home they shared on Mermaid Avenue near West 21st Street when Smith allegedly picked up a bottle of bleach, opened it and then threw it at her.

She then threw an open bottle of Ajax at her, officials alleged.

The victim alleged that both bottles struck her in the face. The noxious cleaning chemicals burned both her skin and eyes, she alleged.

Smith was charged with assault in the second degree, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
