Cashed in
Police arrested a man who they say threatened a Bath Avenue store employee with a gun before stealing $950 on Jan. 30.
The victim told officers the man entered the store between Bay Parkway and Bay 31st Street just after midnight, and flashed a black firearm and pressed it against the victim’s chest. He then ordered the employee to the cash register and demanded he open it, according to the police report.
The suspect grabbed the cash and fled on foot towards Bay 31st Street, police allege.
Swiper no swiping
A thief stole a woman’s wallet with $200 and credit and debit cards inside from a McDonald Avenue store on Jan. 31.
The woman was trying on clothes at the store between Avenues O and P just before 11:30 am when she hung her wallet on an upper coat rack and walked away, forgetting it was there.
At that point, the scoundrel swiped the wallet and bought clothes at the store with the woman’s credit card, according to police.
Clown car
Five no-goodniks threatened a man with firearms and a BB gun on Bay 13th Street on Feb. 2 before stealing his phone and $30.
The man told police he was sitting in his car smoking cigarettes between Cropsey Avenue and Shore Parkway when a dark gray car approached from the opposite way of the one-way street and the goons got out, flashing the pistols and asking the man if he had any drugs, money, or valuables.
One of the good-for-nothings fired off a BB gun in the background and then went through the man’s car and grabbed the goods, cops reported. They fled on Cropsey Avenue towards 16th Avenue, according to authorities.
