One got caught
Police arrested a man who they say acted with another man to assault a woman and steal her purse on Summit Street on April 13.
Officials say the woman was between Hicks and Henry streets just after 11:30 p.m., when one of the men grabbed her from behind, grabbed her purse, and struck her in the face, before the two allegedly fled on foot.
Her purse contained her wallet, iPhone charger, driver’s license, MetroCard, and credit cards, cops said.
Biked away
A baddie stole a bike from Court Street on April 9.
The theft occurred between President and Carroll streets at some point between 9 and 9:20 p.m., police said.
Strolled off
A punk stole an expensive stroller from Warren Street on April 10.
The theft occurred between Clinton and Court streets at some point between 2 and 3 p.m., police said.
Smooth-skinned thief
Police arrested a man who they say stole four moisturizers from a Smith Street store on April 10.
The alleged theft occurred at the store near President Street at around 11:50 p.m., police said.
Rainy day
A pilferer stole a vintage mirror and umbrella from a Nelson Street home on April 16.
The break-in and theft occurred at the home between Court and Smith streets at some point between midnight and 8 a.m., according to police, who added that the crook used a blunt object to open the front door.
