Police arrested a man who they say beat another man with a baseball bat on E. 56th Street on Sept. 29, while his two buddies held the victim down.
The victim told police that he was between Glenwood Road and Avenue H at 1 pm when the suspect bashed him in the head and body with the bat. When the victim attempted to flee, the suspect’s two accomplices blocked his flight, while the alleged attacker continued the beating, according to court documents.
The victim was sent to a nearby hospital following the attack, where he received stitches and treatment for his wounds, cops said.
Men with glasses
A man was arrested for allegedly punching another man in the face on Avenue K on Sept. 29 — breaking the victim’s nose and his eyeglasses.
The victim told police that he was between E. 36th and E. 37th streets at 4:30 pm when the suspect clocked him with a right hook. The victim’s glasses cost $250, although the value of the man’s nose remains undeclared, according to court documents.
Auto looter
Cops busted a man for allegedly pilfering a navigation system and debit card out of a Honda Odyssey parked on E. 32nd Street on Sept. 29.
A witness told police he was between Avenues K and L at 5:30 am when he spotted the suspect entering the victim’s Honda and leaving shortly thereafter with the global positioning system.
