Officers, using a description of the suspect the victim gave, searched the area and found the suspect near Glenwood Road at 6:15 am, according to police.

The officers apprehended the 24-year-old suspect, who they say was in possession of various identification and credit cards that did not belong to him, and tool he used to break into to cars, authorities allege.

Someone stole a woman’s wallet at an Avenue U school on March 22.

The woman told police that she was in her office at the school near E. 63rd Street around 9:30 am when she placed her bag down and left it unattended for 15 minutes. When she returned to it and looked for her billfold, it was nowhere to be found, and she says that one of her credit cards was used to make an $820 purchase for designer sneakers, according to cops.

Police say the thief got away with the woman’s bag, which contained the computer.
