Not very lady-like

Police arrested a 25-year-old woman for allegedly assaulting an 18-year-old woman on W. 31st Street during an Aug. 31 failed robbery attempt.

The arrested woman allegedly punched, kicked, and pushed the victim to the ground while trying to snatch the victim’s purse at 4:40 pm near Mermaid Avenue, police said. But the alleged robbery failed, and the arrested woman fled the scene, a police report stated.

The victim told police that she noticed her iPhone missing after the attack, authorities reported. Officials also stated the suspect had a bag of marijuana on her at the time of the arrest.

Pick-up attack

A fiend punched a woman on Surf Avenue on Sept. 5 after she turned down his romantic advances.

The victim told police she was near W. 30th Street on her way home at 11:45 am when the brute tried to strike up a conversation with her and asked for her phone number.

He punched the woman in the face with a closed fist and attempted to strip her of a gold necklace when she refused, police said.

Bottle bashing

Police arrested three men who they say threw a glass bottle at another man’s face on Brighton Fourth Street on Sept. 2.

The victim told police he was between Brighton Beach Avenue and Ocean View Avenue at 1:30 am when the three strangers threw the bottle, leaving him with a laceration on his nose. The threesome also took the man’s cellphone out of his pocket and smashed it on the ground, a police report said.

Basement break-in

An unidentified thief swiped $2,000 worth of tools and goods from the basement of a W. 31st Street apartment building on Aug. 31.

The crook found a way into the storage area of a basement near Mermaid Avenue at 4:40 pm and took off with 60 extension cords, 10 electrical outlets, six knives, five staple guns, four string lights, two screw guns, one saw, and one pair of safety boots, according to a police report, Officials said there were no signs of forced entry, and multiple people had access to the area.

Motorcycle mishap

An unknown larcenist stole a parked motorcycle from W. 28th Street sometime between Sept. 2 and 3.

The owner told police he parked the 2008 green Kawasaki KLR-650 near Surf Avenue at 6:30 pm, but the bike was gone when he returned at 1 pm the next day.

Facebook friend or foe

A swindler tried to extort thousands from an 86th Street man on Aug. 29, after a sex-fueled Skype hook-up went horribly wrong.

The victim, who lives near 26th Avenue, told police that he was naked and masturbating over Skype with a woman he met on Facebook. But a day later, the woman threatened to show a video of his self-gratification to all of his social media friends unless he coughed up $2,000, officials reported.
