Police slapped cuffs on a 33-year-old woman who they said slapped an 8-year-old 65th Street girl for no reason on May 18.
The tot was standing in front of her house between 14th and 15th avenues in Borough Park at 7:45 am when the woman in custody allegedly wailed on her, police said. The girl told her parents and they called the cops, who collared the woman.
A cut above
A knife-wielding no-goodnik who robbed a D train straphanger on May 13 outran a good Samaritan who gave chase, but dropped the ill-gotten goods.
The victim was on a D train at 62nd Street station in Bensonhurst at 3:50 am when a punk with a pocket knife demanded her bag, police said. The woman refused, a struggle ensued, and the cretin cut the victim’s back as he ripped off her backpack, officials said.
A witness chased the robber, but gave up after the cad dropped the stolen stuff, a police report states.
Drained
A boozy burglar stole three bottles of liquor and $9,000 in cash from a Cropsey Avenue restaurant on May 17.
The lush larcenist pried open a side window on the building between Bay 40th and Bay 41st streets in Bensonhurst using a crow bar at 5:30 am, police said.
Granny bandit
A fiendish brute is blind-siding little old ladies and stealing their purses in Gravesend, officials report.
The malefactor’s modus operandi is always the same — he sneaks up behind older women, shoves them to the ground, and takes their purse, police said. Three people have reported attacks within a few blocks of one another since May 12. The incidents are as follows:
• The reprobate robbed a 68-year-old woman on 83rd Street between Bay Parkway and 23rd Avenue at 1 pm on May 12.
The woman hurt her leg in the fall, and the miscreant took a purse containing $110 and a cellphone, police said.
• The goon struck again at the corner of W. Eighth Street and Highlawn Avenue at 6:45 pm on May 14.
He took prescription drugs, keys, and a public benefit card from his 59-year-old victim, law enforcement sources said.
• And the marauder mugged a 73-year-old woman on the corner of W. 10th Street and Avenue P at 2 pm on May 16.
