The Polish Singers Alliance of America (PSAA) will hold their 59th District Seven Convention, May 31, hosted this year by Jutrzenka Singing Society female chorus #226 of South Brooklyn.

Come see and hear the singers of PSAA’s member choruses of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut as they gather and participate for convention events at Our Lady of Czestochowa-St. Casimir RCC, 183 25th Street.

Jutrzenka Honorary President, Frances X. Gates, is chairperson of the Pre-Convention Committee, which is preparing a day filled with activities from morning till night, commencing with registration from 8-9 a.m., a lunch break at 12 p.m. as delegates welcome arriving singers, rehearsals followed by a festival-style concert/competition, Mass at 6:30 p.m., and a farewell/awards reception from 7:30-10 p.m., which will bring singers, their families and friends together.

Participating choruses will be Chopin Male Chorus #182 of Passaic, NJ; the Oginski Male Chorus #283 of Hempstead, NY; the Polonia-Parerewski mixed and female choruses #287 and 311 of New Britain, CT; Aria Mixed Chorus #303 of Wallington, NJ; Hejnal Mixed Chorus #323 of Greenpoint, Brooklyn; Jutrzenka female chorus #226 of South Brooklyn; the Children’s Choir of St. Frances de Chantal J.C. #23; “Con Amore” Chamber Choir and Lyric Soprano, Malgorzata Fliszkiewicz-Kellis.

The concert, to begin at 2:30 p.m., will have a $15 charge at the door; $10 for students, seniors and advance sales. Children under 12 are welcome, free, accompanied by an adult. The public is invited to attend the 6:30 p.m. Mass, as well as the following reception.
