Fresh-faced students embraced a new school year with smiles and a few moist eyes as first day rites got underway at Public School 132.
Outfitted in new school clothes and harnessed with spiffy book bags, the young scholars made a grand entrance at the school, 320 Manhattan Avenue, ready to hit the tomes.
While mom and dad wiped away tears from pint-sized new arrivals, older students gave their parents a cheery wave and scooted off inside the building.
There, staffers and other faculty members helped direct the young charges to their appropriate classrooms.
