It hits the mark!
Bargain hunters from across the borough rushed to the newest location of Irish discount-fashion outlet Primark when it opened on July 7 in Kings Plaza Mall, packing the store known for its affordable threads throughout its first weekend in business.
“I was super excited about it,” said Arielle Tillett. “I found out about Primark when I was studying abroad in London, and when I heard they were coming to Brooklyn, I checked their Instagram story every day for updates.”
The football-field–sized behemoth stretches over three floors that used to house a Sears, and offers clothing and home goods at budget-friendly prices.
And to raise awareness for the brand’s Kings County debut, Primark bigwigs have been conducting photo shoots for marketing campaigns around Brooklyn, including in Coney Island.
