A vicious crook threatened to rape a Williamsburg woman on April 25, but when she fought back, he snatched her purse and ran.
The thug trailed his victim as she walked to her home, on Maujer Street between Union Avenue and South First Street, at around 3:20 am. As she attempted to enter her apartment, the crook pushed her against a wall and covered her mouth.
“I’m gonna rape you,” he said.
That’s when the woman put up a fight. So the crook went to Plan B, grabbing a black canvas purse and running off with her IDs, credit cards and $20.
Bag snatch
A hoodlum yanked a purse off a woman’s shoulder as she left the subway station on April 16.
As the victim searched for her keys outside the Montrose Avenue L station at the corner of Montrose and Bushwick avenues, a man in a dark hoodie snatched her purse and ran. The crook struck at around 12:30 am, getting away with the woman’s glasses, book, keys and medication.
Wrong victim
Thugs targeted the worst possible victim when they tried to mug an off-duty cop on April 26.
Five hoodlums surrounded the officer at the corner of South Ninth Street and Driggs Avenue and one said, “We’re gonna jump you.”
The officer identified himself as police and displayed his badge, but the crooks still threatened to attack him if he didn’t fork over his cash. That’s when the quick-thinking officer dialed 911 from his cellphone, scaring off the muggers.
Police apprehended four suspects as they fled.
Run with scissors
A brutal thug stabbed a homeless woman in the breast with a pair of scissors on Bushwick Avenue on April 25.
The cutter struck at around 1:25 am, slashing the woman across the chest between Moore and Varick streets. The woman suffered a minor laceration, cops said.
Bag heist
Crooks snatched a Danish woman’s handbag while she sipped drinks at a popular Bedford Avenue watering hole on April 26.
The thieves grabbed the purse at around 1 am, while the victim looked away. Minutes later, she found her purse in the corner of the bar, which is between Grand and South First streets, minus her belongings. The crooks escaped with her ID, credit cards, iPod, camera, cellphone, makeup, perfume, belt, sunglasses, clothing and $350.
