Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the man they believe stole $800 at gunpoint from a Neptune Avenue gas station on Nov. 29.
The thief entered the store between Brighton Fourth and Fifth streets at 12:49 am while the clerk was counting money and flashed a long-barrel firearm and took the cash, a police report states.
The robber asked the clerk if he had any more cash, and when the worker said “no,” the perp fled, police said.
Police released surveillance images of the suspect, described as approximately 5-foot-10 and about 200 pounds.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577–8477. The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
