Holding citations from the City Council, Assemblyman Peter J. Abbate, Thomas Neve, executive director of Reaching Out Community Services, and Vincent La Marca, webmaster at the New Utrecht Reformed Church in Bensonhurst, are honored as “Men of Valor, Sons of Micah” in a ceremony at the historic house of worship, the fourth oldest in Brooklyn.
The citations were presented by Councilman Vincent Gentile, second from left, and the ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Terry Troia, pastor of the church, 18th Avenue between 83rd and 84th streets, which each year honors members and others who make outstanding contributions to the Brooklyn community.
