Grimebusting Boy Scouts polished up on the elbow grease and joined forces to transform an eyesore into a sight for sore eyes during a cleanup at Floyd Bennett Field.
Armed with brooms, trash bags and plenty of cheer, close to 300 Cub, Boy and Venturer Scouts from the Brooklyn Council assisted National Parks Service workers to spruce and beautify the historic airfield in conjunction with the Preserve America’s Waterways project, which presented the participants with National Recognition Certificates.
