A Brooklyn man was arrested on Thursday and charged with aggravated sexual abuse and other crimes for attacking a 15-year-old girl at the Halsey Street subway station in Ridgewood nearly three months ago.

Christopher Santana, 31, of Bedford Avenue in Bedford Stuyvesant, was taken into custody and booked at the 102nd Precinct in Richmond Hill in a forcible touching and robbery case that was being investigated by detectives out of the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood.

Santana is accused of approaching the girl as she waited for an L train on the northbound platform just after 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, and shoving her to the ground. He then allegedly picked her up and forcibly kissed her on the face while he groped her private parts over her clothing before forcibly taking her cell phone, police said, adding that Santana fled the station onto Wyckoff Avenue. The victim was not physically injured during the attack.

An NYPD spokeswoman could not provide further details on how Santana was collared in the 102nd Precinct, where he was booked on charges of aggravated sexual abuse, sexual abuse, acting in a manner injurious to a child and robbery. His arraignment is pending, according to the Queens District Attorney’s office.
