Assemblyman Bill Colton, front right, spoke during the opening ceremonies at Floyd Bennett Field for the Sixth Annual September 11 Memorial Soccer Tournament, organized by the Veteran’s Sports Association and its president, Eduardo Luchin. The memorial tournament, which had 12 teams competing from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, was instituted together with the September 11th Family Group to keep alive the memories of those neighborhood heroes whose lives were lost in the tragic 9/11 terrorist attack.
