Gunned down
A gun-toting villain shot and killed a 29-year-old on Montrose Avenue on June 28.
The crook fired at the Williamsburg man with a .45 pistol as he walked between Lorimer and Leonard streets at around 2:23 am.
The victim was pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital at around 3:30 am.
Chain gang
Two perps roughed up 35-year-old and stole his chain in a brutal June 28 mugging.
The crooks punched the victim in the back of the head as he walked down Debevoise Street at around 2:20 pm and threw him against a wall.
“Take his s–t, son,” said one of the thugs, while the other pulled out a boxcutter.
The thieves grabbed the victim’s “Cuban Link” chain — valued by police at $350 — and fled from the scene of the crime, which is between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street.
Photograft
A thief swiped a professional camera and lens from a Bushwick art space.
The crook raided a locker at 3rd Ward on Morgan Avenue between June 24 and June 28 and made off with a Canon 5D Mark II camera and its 35-millimeter lens — valued by cops at more than $4,000.
The 43-year-old’s private locker didn’t quite live up to its name, as numerous 3rd Ward keys can be used to open the cubby, police reports indicated.
Vicious cyclists
Crooks on bikes took over Williamsburg this week, sticking up at least three North Brooklynites before riding away. Here’s are the shocking details of the problematic peloton:
• A bike-riding cellphone snatcher made off with a teenager’s Sidekick phone at 2 am on June 17 — and got away on a gray and black bike from between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street.
• A hoodlum on a bicycle made off with a teenager’s iPod Touch on June 23, approaching the 14-year-old victim in the Heyward Street schoolyard of IS 71 at 4:30 pm. The boy tried to get his iPod back, but the perp shoved him to the ground and biked away from the playground between Marcy and Harrison avenues.
• A gun-wielding, bandanna-clad bicyclist mugged a 25-year-old woman on the Williamsburg Bridge footpath on June 23.
The crook confronted the victim at 10:30 pm on the Brooklyn-side of the bridge and pulled out a pistol.
“Don’t worry, sweetheart, I’m not gonna hurt you,” he said.
The woman handed over her cellphone, a digital camera and $30, and the bad guy biked towards Brooklyn.
Brutal slashing
Cops nabbed a knife-toting bandit suspected of slashing a 25-year-old repeatedly in the face on June 22.
The perp — caught red-handed holding two knives — allegedly stabbed the victim in the back, and cut his face and forearm after a dispute in the lobby of a Humboldt Street building.
Police arrested a 21-year-old suspect between Debevoise and Cook streets.
