Pickpocket
A jerk took cash from a senior’s pocket inside a Brighton Beach Avenue supermarket on March 5.
The 70-year-old victim said she was shopping in the store near Coney Island Avenue at 11:03 am when someone took cash and a debit card from her left coat pocket.
Police are reviewing camera footage of the incident.
Mr. Sandman
Good-for-nothings robbed two sleeping straphangers in separate incidents aboard late-night trains bound for Coney Island from the distant isle of Manhattan on March 4:
• A woman said she got on a Q train at the Times Square station at 4 am and fell asleep. When she woke a few hours later at the Stillwell Avenue station, her iPhone X, debit and credit cards, and cash were gone, cops said.
Police say the weasel made purchases on the woman’s cards, and they were unable to locate the phone via the Find My iPhone app.
• A man told officers he boarded a D train at the W. Fourth Street station at 4 am and nodded off. He also woke later at the same station to find someone had cut open his front left pocket and right back pocket on his pants, police reported.
The snake got away with the man’s wallet and a metal necklace, according to cops. He cancelled his debit cards, police noted.
Construction site burglary
A punk stole tools from a construction site on Brighton Third Place on March 2.
The victim said the thief broke into a home being built near Ocean View Avenue at 4 pm and took a laser and saw from a tool box.
Police said there are cameras nearby.
