Seniors rejoice! There’s a new day care center in town. Owners Steve Orlov and Yuri Smolyak have cut the ribbon on Sunnyville Adult Day Care Center.

If you are 65 or older and want a fun place to spend your days, Sunnyville is your kind of place. Owner Yuri told the O there is plenty to do, including crafts, crochet, light physical exercise, movies, and even day trips. Along with fun programs, breakfast and lunch are provided, as well as transportation to and from home.

Colleagues Steven Mednik and Natafia Sterline, both of Eyes on Flatbush, were on hand at the center’s open house on June 10 to help Yuri and Steve celebrate, along with Sharrise Andrews, who coordinates activities.

There are two sessions daily at the center, Monday through Friday, 9 am–1 pm and 2 pm–6 pm. The best part is that if you have medicare, there are no out of pocket expenses.
