Last Saturday marked the first “Market in McCarren” event, an outdoor crafts market run by Artists & Fleas, the N. 6th−Stret based independent artist and designer market.
The market, which features around 50 vendors peddling a cross−section of silk−screen t−shirts, custom jewelry, and other hand−make crafts and accessories, can be found adjacent to the McCarren Park Fieldhouse (Lorimer Street between Bedford and Driggs).
Artists & Fleas is a six−year−old business, and the only independent year−round artist and designer market. On N. 6th Street, it operates a designer market as well as a recently−opened vintage market. These markets are open every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8 pm.
