This Memorial Day weekend, accompanied by Molly Wood on piano, Park Slope native and operatic mezzo-soprano Cabiria Jacobsen will bring a varied program of songs and arias to the Park Slope United Methodist Church, Sixth Avenue and Eighth Street, May 24 at 2 p.m.
Jacobsen will sing Brahms’ “Ziguenerlieder” (Gypsy Songs); arias by Rossini, Handel and Bernstein; and songs by Porter, Gershwin and Carmichael.
Running approximately an hour, this diverse program of music represents multiple styles, languages, and translations and eras. General admission is $10; $5 for students and seniors with ID.
