The Brooklyn−Queens Expressway became the dome for a vibrant traveling art gallery when the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership and Storefront for Art and Architecture hosted a community workshop under the causeway, inviting art−smart boroughites to beautify the rugged space with their own creative ideas.
Entitled SpaceBuster and created by German architecture firm raumlaborberlin, the temporary installation invited residents and other stakeholders to participate by brainstorming innovative permanent and temporary uses, and physical improvements, with the help of volunteers from Pratt Institute’s Planning program.
